Protect yourself against fuel theft

Police are appealing to people to "be vigilant" about locking up their fuel over the winter period.

Inspector Derek Flint says it's the time of year when fuel theft peaks, so the public need to be thinking about keeping it under close protection.

Simple measures like ensuring your tank is well secured can be enough to deter opportunist thieves.
