A local mother is appealing to young pedestrians to pay extra care and attention when crossing the roads.
Yvonne Moore is launching the campaign after her son was hit by a bus in March.
Billy, who was in Year 7 at the time of the accident, suffered a severe break to his left femur - regarded as one of the toughest bones in the body to break.
Yvonne will be speaking to teenagers this evening at the Manx Motor Meet which is being held in the Bowl car park between 7.30pm and 10pm.
Following extensive treatment Billy has made a full recovery, however she concedes that it could have been a different story:
