A man who's awaiting sentencing after causing a fire at a mental health facility has been remanded in custody after trying to smuggle tobacco into the prison.
53-year-old Graham Johnson yesterday pleaded guilty to one charge of introducing articles to the Isle of Man Prison.
He was arrested at the weekend after being seen trying to pass the contraband to an inmate who he was visiting, telling police he had been "pressurised" into bringing it in.
Earlier this month Mr Johnson was convicted of arson after pleading guilty to causing over £6,000 worth of damage after a fire at Grainagh Court on June 22nd.
He will be sentenced for both offences on October 14th - there was no application for bail.
