Police help rescue man from sea

A man was rescued from the sea in Douglas last night.

Douglas Lifeboat was called into action at 9.24pm to reports the person was in the water near to Victoria Pier.

Two police officers had to jump into the harbour to help the man and were in the water with him struggling for a period of time.

All three were successfully located, recovered and transferred to the harbour where an ambulance was waiting.
