900 plus out of work on the Island

There are just over 900 people out of work on the Isle of Man.

That gives the Island an unemployment rate of two per cent.

Of the total out of work 605 are men and 299 are women.

During August 629 vacancies were notified to the Job Centre - at the end of the month 320 positions were still on file.
