Island residents who receive incapacity benefits will once again be subject to personal capability assessments.
The assessments will judge the individuals ability to work, with support and training offered to those deemed fit enough to re-enter the work place.
According to the Social Security Division there is currently 2,000 people on Island receiving incapacity-related benefits.
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says this isn't about saving money, but helping to improve the situations for those claiming the benefits:
