Shorter assessments for nurses and midwives

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

Nurses and midwives trained on the Isle of Man will face shorter assessments.

Computer-based exams and tests in simulated clinical scenarios will replace the minimum of three months supervised practice required at present.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council has said that it frees people up more quickly to fill vacancies - as it's currently not agile enough.
