Will Island look to Scotland for energy project for inspiration?

The world’s largest tidal energy project is being closely watched by the Island’s energy expert.
When finished, the 398 MW MeyGen underwater turbines will provide clean, sustainable power for 175,000 homes in Scotland, reducing carbon emissions.
Dr Ken Milne, senior manager for Energy Policy at the Department for Economic development tells us they have a great working relationship with Scotland.
He says the £83 million funded initiative is a compelling idea:
