Manx Gas has announced an increase to its gas tariffs, to take effect from next month.
The cost will go up by 2.9% from September 12th.
The price hike has come about after Manx Gas were deemed to have underperformed due to below average gas consumption and warmer than average weather patterns experienced in the Isle of Man.
There will also be a 3% increase in the standing charge, which covers the forecast increase in the cost of providing connections to the gas supply.
The total impact of the increases on the average user will stand at around 6.53 pence per day.
