With the Island's high schools set to move to the international GCSE system from next year we spoke to King Williams College, who have utilised it extensively over the last five years.
Over two thirds of the KWC results this year were IGCSEs, with 38% of all exams awarded A* or A pass grades.
Following a lengthy consultation government opted for ICGSE, with little appetite from the public for the proposed reforms put forward by former UK Education Secretary Michael Gove.
