Police's social media work deemed a success

Manx police using social media to interact with the public has been deemed a success.

That's the message from Inspector Catherine Bradley who specialises in organisational learning - she says the police have taken a bold approach to it.

The digital strategy also covers the management of officers in their professional and personal networking.

In the UK hundreds of officers have been investigated for breaching social media guidelines by making inappropriate comments online.

Catherine says there have been teething problems here but they've been resolved in house:
