Renewed calls to be wary of scammers

Police are renewing their plea for people to remain vigilant against scam artists.

They say they are still getting information that telephone bank scammers are continuing to target, and operate on, the Island.

People are being told not to give any personal details out over the telephone and to be careful when hanging up. 

Anyone who wants to check the validity of a call has been asked to visit their bank in person instead of calling it as the phone line may have been left open as part of the scam.
