Man uses "foul and abusive" language in front of child

Police are appealing for help after a man was heard using "foul and abusive" language towards a young child.

It happened near to Shoprite in Onchan at around 11.35am yesterday.

The child became distressed before both were seen to leave the area in the direction of Kaighin's Lane.

Police say the man was in his late 50s and of stocky build.

Anyone who witnessed the exchange has been asked to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
