Temporary foster parents who could care for birds are being sought by the ManxSPCA.
The animal charity says it needs people with the space, time and knowledge to care for fledglings until they can fend for themselves.
It follows the news that the aviary at Ard Jerkyll has been temporarily closed after an infection broke out.
The ManxSPCA says there is no risk to the public or staff but it has to take action to protect the animals.
In the meantime anyone who finds an injured bird is asked to take it to their nearest vets.
