Minister vows to tackle hospital waiting lists

Hospital waiting lists are too long and will be tackled.

That's the promise from the Department of Health and Social Care which says new IT systems at the hospital and in GP surgeries will help address the problem.

Minister Howard Quayle says 'going after' the waiting lists is his next priority following the establishment of a new senior management team.

He believes a combination of both changes will improve care, customer service and overall efficiency:
