Manannan repairs to take longer than expected

The Manannan won't be operating on all engines for the Festival of Motorcycling.

She has been running on three engines since a crankshaft failed.

The Steam Packet intended to fix the Manannan overnight on August 6th but precautionary checks on the engine block have revealed more extensive damage.

Specialist repair engineers have advised that it will take longer than anticipated - meaning journey times will take longer than advertised.

A revised festival schedule is to be announced shortly for some of the peak days.
