Chance to help decide on parole for prisoners

Would you like to have your say in the running of the criminal justice system?

The Parole Committee is appealing to the public to apply for four new positions - it's responsible for making recommendations to the Department of Home Affairs regarding the release and recall of prisoners.

The committee plays a critical role in the smooth running of the Island's criminal justice system.

No formal qualifications are required; just an open mind, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism, as well as a strong sense of justice, confidentiality and discretion.

Applications should be submitted to the department by 5pm on Friday, August 22nd.
