Police name cyclist killed in Kirk Michael crash

Police have named the cyclist killed in a road traffic collision in Kirk Michael last night.

She was 41-year-old physiotherapist Kathryn Burge who was known as Kate.

She suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene on Main Road after colliding with a Range Rover.

Enquiries into the incident, which happened at 6pm, are continuing - police say a number of witnesses have already come forward.

However they'd still like to speak to anyone who saw a group of three cyclists, or the car, on the TT Course travelling between Douglas and Kirk Michael.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact Ramsey Police Station.
