Setting off Chinese lanterns around the Island could pose a serious risk to livestock.
The Manx National Farmers' Union says it's had an increase in the number of reports of farmers finding the discarded items.
They've been found - both lit and extinguished - near to farm buildings, dry crops and grazing livestock.
In two cases where cattle have died suddenly wire, possibly from lanterns, has been found in their stomachs.
People are now being asked to think twice and to not set off the decorative items.
