Four Douglas locations awarded Green Flags

Green Flags which have been awarded to four parks in Douglas show the Island is on par with the British Isles.

The Green Flag Award Scheme is the national benchmark - it's just granted Noble's Park, Douglas Golf Course, Douglas Head and the Sunken Gardens the accolade.

Douglas Council says it recognises that well maintained parks and gardens are integral to bringing investment into the town centre.

Head of parks Dave Hewes says people can celebrate this weekend:
