The Isle of Man’s cycling team has impressed at the Commonwealth Games today in the men’s and women’s individual time-trial finals.
In the men’s road race event Delhi 2010 bronze medalist Mark Christian completed the 38.4Km Glasgow in 50:50.54s to clinch 11th place.
The 23-year-old was joined by Ramsey’s Andrew Roche who started his seventh consecutive Commonwealth Games with a 15th place finish after recording a time of 52:33.61s.
Mark’s sister Anna Christian also competed in this morning’s women’s event along with Laura Wasley - both did well to negotiate the challenging course which was hampered by damp conditions throughout the race.
Glen Vine’s Wasley was 26th with a time of 50:07.14s whilst Anna Christian crossed the line in 45:48.65s to finish 14th.
Today’s exploits follow Peter Kennaugh’s silver medal win in Saturday’s 40km points race.
The focus now turns to Sunday’s road race finals.
