Triumphant end for Island's swim team

Team Isle of Man's swimmers have had a triumphant end to their Commonwealth Games by smashing another Island record.

The men's 4 x 100m medley relay team - comprising of Alex Bregazzi, Grant Halsall, Guy Davies and Tom Bielich - beat the senior record by just under six seconds with a time of 3:58.66s.

It was the 17th Island record broken at the Glasgow event - with eight semi-final appearances during this year's competition.

The swim team's achievements have been all the more remarkable considering there were no Island swimmers at the previous Commonwealth Games in Delhi 2010.
