Fire Proud aims to change perception of firefighters

It's time to change the perception that firefighters sit around watching TV, or playing snooker, if they're not out fighting fires.

To combat this view the Fire and Rescue Service has produced a new short video showing the role of a modern firefighter on the Isle of Man.

'Fire Proud' comes off the back of severe cost cutting across government with the service now facing the challenge of maintaining public safety against budget cuts.
