Proposals to bring common registry functions under a single unit are at an early stage and will not necessarily create job losses.
It's been revealed that plans are being progressed to bring them together within Economic Development in order to make things more streamlined.
There have been claims this could result in up to 20 job losses as four different areas are made more efficient.
However a government spokesperson has dismissed this saying there are no identified job losses associated with the plan.
All staff who could be potentially affected by the changes, which are being overseen by the Business Change Steering Group, have been told about the proposals.
