Island's Financial Crime Unit model to be assessed

Consideration into the future of the Island’s Financial Crime Unit is being assessed after discussion in Tynwald.

MONEYVAL will assess the unit in 2016 which will involve looking into ways to combat areas such as money laundering, financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

There will also be discussion of the future of the structure of the unit to ensure a sustainable model.
