New leaflet will help people through planning process

The Department of Infrastructure have published a leaflet to help people through the planning process.

Outlining guidelines for people wishing to apply - the ‘Pre-application Guidance for Customers’ includes advice on submitting a case and how each one is progressed.

It's to help customers identify relevant issues, improve the quality of applications and reduce unacceptable proposals, whilst identifying alternatives.

Planning and Building Control review around 800 applications for pre-application guidance each year.
