Passengers travelling on Manannan face longer journey times due to a problem with the boat's engine.
It's operating on reduced power after suffering a mechanical issue.
Journey times are now expected to be around 20 minutes longer depending on the tidal conditions.
Early indications suggest it is a failed crankshaft - a similar problem to the one which occurred four years ago.
The Steam Packet Company says it plans to wait until after the Festival of Motorcycling to carry out the repair.
