Ramsey's Mooragh Promenade has been awarded dark sky status by the Dark Sky Discovery Network.
It has become one of 26 sites in the Island to be given the honour serving as an added attraction for the town.
Grade two classifications are the highest category granted to 'Milky Way' sites - where the Milky Way can be seen by the naked eye in ideal conditions.
Awarded by the UK Science and Technology Facilities Council, dark sky discovery sites are places away from light pollution.
They provide good sightlines of the sky and have public access for all levels of mobility.
The Isle of Man currently has the highest concentration of sites in the British Isles, making it ideal for stargazing.
