Factory Honda rider and local hero Conor Cummins was one of two riders taken to Nobles Hospital by airmed after a four bike incident at tonight’s Southern 100 meeting at Castletown.
The incident happened on the opening lap of the 600cc race at the first corner, Ballakaighan.
Cummins and Tom Parkes were each reported to have non-life threatening injuries, whilst Ivan Linton was reported by the club as having made his own way to hospital for a check-up, and James Cowton subsequently back in the paddock.
The incident followed an earlier red flag crash at the same corner, again involving four riders, with all injuries reported to be “non-serious”.
Racing concludes with tomorrow’s day time race schedule.
