The Isle of Man Wind Orchestra will premiere new work by a US composer on Thursday at its summer concert.
It's being held at 7:30pm at Peel Cathedral - 'Midwinter' has been compiled by Florida-based Clare Shore who is a graduate of the world-famous Julliard School in New York.
Orchestra chairman Michael Morrison says the decision to work with Ms Shore was to discover more about the American tradition of wind orchestra music.
