Vandals who damaged an electricity substation in Castletown on Wednesday were lucky to escape with their lives.
That's the opinion of Adrian Dobbins - the director of network services for Manx Utilities - who has spoken out after engineers discovered the damage in the station near to the Ocean Ford garage in Castletown.
Despite the signs warning of 'danger of death' equipment was deliberately tampered with exposing 11,000 volts of electricity. - a police investigation is now underway.
