A local dentist has joined the campaign to encourage parents to stop their children from drinking so many sugary drinks.
The UK press has given the issue extensive coverage this week after government's chief obesity adviser said fizzy drinks and sugary cordials should be banned from the dinner table.
The report suggests children should be drinking either water or milk as an alternative.
