Skelly is new Economic Development Minister

Rushen MHK Laurence Skelly has been appointed as the new Economic Development Minister.

The former Infrastructure boss is taking over from John Shimmin who resigned from the role.

Replacing him in the Department of Infrastructure is fellow Rushen MHK Phil Gawne - who was the Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture.

Castletown MHK Richard Ronan will take his first ministerial position by becoming Mr Gawne's successor - taking responsibility for DEFA.
