Yacht rescued after suffering engine failure

Three people onboard a yacht were rescued on Saturday night after their vessel suffered engine failure.

Douglas Lifeboat was launched just after 10pm to the aid of the boat which had broken down around 12 miles off Douglas.

The 10 metre vessel had been travelling to the Island from Fleetwood.

The lifeboat safely towed the boat back to Battery Pier in Douglas - no one was injured.
