Will Palace Hotel replacement be built on Middlemarch site?

Could a new hotel be built on the Middlemarch site in Douglas?

That's the suggestion of former Sefton Group chairman Sir Miles Walker who says the current Palace Hotel needs replacing.

Government purchased the Middlemarch site as part of a land swap deal last year - it also awarded the struggling group two cash loans as part of a rescue package. 

Sir Miles says the group is integral to the Isle of Man's tourism industry and decisions now need to be made going forward:
