The last thing the Island needs is for its beauty spots to become 'choked up' with caravans.
That's the view of the chairman of a new Tynwald committee which is looking into updating outdated caravan legislation.
It's been due to difficulties in getting them to the Island and then using the Island's narrow roads.
The new committee will assess whether the Island should look at improving the highways and introducing caravan parks with proper facilities.
MLC Alex Downie says it's time to look at it as for many years caravans on the Island have been frowned upon.
