Share with care - that's what cyclists are being told after a decision to scrap the cycle lane from the Douglas Promenades.
The white cycle lane on the seaward side of the walkway has been scrubbed out meaning cyclists can now use the full width of the promenade.
The Department of Infrastructure says it's a 12 month trial to allow a 'scenic and traffic free route' to suit a mix of recreational users.
According to the department research shows that pedestrians and cyclists can mix safely when the user groups are not segregated.
