The New Castletown Road remains one-way in a southerly direction this morning as work is carried out to fill a significant sink hole.
Yesterday the road surface was removed and excavated down to solid ground - a camera survey found no obvious defects.
The hole was backfilled last night with a temporary running surface being laid this morning.
It's hoped the stretch of highway between the Quarter Bridge roundabout and entrance to the NSC will be re-opened by lunchtime.
