Police are continuing to wage the war against people who import drugs to the Island - despite having to realign the service because of budget cuts.
Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson says it remains a priority as there is still an obvious problem.
Last week the Island's chief constable Gary Roberts warned that the pro-active focus would have to be scaled back at times due to a reduction in the number of officers.
Minister Watterson says extra resource to fund this area could come from the criminal activity itself:
