Woman hit by a van in Douglas

Police are appealing for witnesses after a female pedestrian was hit by a white Ford transit van last night.

It happened at around 5.25pm at the bottom of Kewaigue Hill in Douglas.

Her injuries are not believed to be serious - although the incident did cause heavy traffic congestion in the peak rush hour time.

Officers want to speak to anyone who saw what happened.
