Is spending £750,000 on a new kitchen and dining room at QEII High School a good use of taxpayers' money?
That's what politicians will decide in Tynwald this week when the Department of Education and Children puts its case forward.
The department says the work is needed to offer students a greater choice of healthy meals in a less rushed environment and provide more space for students to socialise.
£78,000 has already been spent on the works - estates director Richard Collister admits it's a project that, if approved, won't be cheap:
