Spending an extra £1 million on the new food park in Peel will ultimately benefit the Island's economy.
That's the view of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which will ask Tynwald to approve money for the third phase of works.
The project was started in 2010 and now needs an additional £915,000 to create three new plots housing 1,220 square metres of industrial unit space.
The work would generate £290,000 of labour for Manx workers as well as £1 million of work for the construction industry.
