Treasury reports much lower deficit than anticipated

Government has reported a much lower than anticipated deficit.

It has put it down to success in supporting the economy whilst reducing running costs.

At year end the deficit stood at £17 million - £14 million lower than expected.

Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says despite the good news it is no excuse to relax:
