Glasgow bound Ben Kelly, took the win in round 6 of the Osborn Carpets Scratch 600

on an excellent Monday evening with little to no wind and varying sunshine. Considering it was a TT race day, a very good entry of 18 shooters took to the firing line under the control of Range Officer, Brian Fozard. Just 2 full house were shot during the evening, one went to another Glasgow bound shooter, Gemma Kermode with the remaining one to John Wood. Full results were:-

In the Empire Garage Tynwald Shield Handicap match this week, the Competition Secretary had adjusted the handicaps and it appears that may be the winner, Perryn Callister, has shaken off some of the disappointing results she has been experiencing in recent weeks, as this week she claimed the top spot by 2 points from junior shooter, Alex Trafford. The score of 572 for Callister is the best result she has posted for several weeks.

Kelly wins round 6 of the Sadler Junior Championship

            For the fourth time, Ben Kelly produced the winning score for the Sadler Junior Championship but the scores are getting closer. Results were:-

1 – Ben Kelly               99, 96, 98 = 293

2 – Alex Trafford         94, 92, 96 = 282

3 – Thomas Clague     95, 94, 91 = 280

Outdoor Series

            Next Monday evening, June 16th, at Sinclair range, will see rounds eight of The Osborn 600 scratch match, Empire Garage Tynwald Shield Handicap and The Sadler Junior Championship Scratch 300. The second round of The Jamaica Trophy will also be shot concurrently. This six round competition will decide the Isle of Man 50 metre outdoor champion for 2014 and if recent results are anything to go by, some excellent results can be anticipated.
