New charter should speed up planning process

Construction on the Island is set to benefit after the launch of a new planning charter.

The agreement, between the industry and the Department of Infrastructure, is aimed at striking a balance between economic growth and protecting the environment.

The department says it's a myth that the current system hinders development.
