Police are urging people to only ring 999 in an emergency - or risk putting people's lives in danger.
The reminder has been sparked after the arrest of a man for misusing the emergency call system.
It's a reoccurring problem on the Isle of Man - the majority of calls going through the 999 line could be dealt with on the main switchboard number
