Police are warning people to be on their guard if they are offered joints of meat for sale.
Over the last month a large quantity of Manx Loaghtan Lamb has been stolen from rural premises in the north of the Island.
Officers say it would be obvious from the packaging that the items would not been purchased in a supermarket - they're also asking people to think of hygiene and how it's been stored.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have been offered the meat for sale - people who have should contact Ramsey Police Station.
