The Island must play its part in keeping the memories of our armed forces veterans alive.
That's the message from a local veteran who is hoping for a record turnout at this month's Armed Forces Day on Sunday, June 29th.
Traditionally thousands line the Douglas promenades to watch the procession of serving personnel past and present make their way up to the Villa Marina.
Brigadier Norman Butler says veteran numbers are falling every year and it's up to the public to honour their sacrifice in the years ahead:
