Calls about electricity are hoax says MUA
Wed, 11 Jun 2014
People are being warned not to give out personal information over the telephone after reports of hoax calls.
The Manx Utilities Authority says the callers are requesting access to people's properties claiming there's an electricity fault.
The caller also enquires what electrical items there are in the property.
The MUA says it is not behind these calls and would like to hear from anyone who has been targeted - the Office of Fair Trading has also been advised.
