Motorists have been warned not to drive on the beach in Ballaugh at the risk of endangering wildlife.
Police say at least four or five different vehicles including four wheel drive and motorcycles have been spotted recently.
At present many of the northern beaches are inhabited by ground nesting birds which are vulnerable - intentional or reckless disturbance of these birds is against the Wildlife Act.
It's also an offence to the Road Traffic Act to use motorised vehicles on a beach.
Anyone who knows who is responsible is asked to contact Police Headquarters.
